Jack Oblivian is god!

Last friday I had a little reunion with my old time hero Jack Oblivian. The man is getting older, fat, looking like a bum and seems to have had to much sex, drugs & r'n'r in his live. But when he's in the mood he can set me on fire with just one chord. And last friday he did that several times. Not with high octane rockers like the old Oblivians stuff (although he played some of the old goodies) but with the more mellow Memphis soul style...

He played bassguitar in his own support act Harlan T Bobo, wich proves mr. Jack just wants to play music or produce bands he likes.


Last on the bill were garage r'n'r sensation Tokyo Sex Destruction. Wich left me and some 50 others with the question why the place didn't sell out... Actually the concerthall didn't invest in some sort of PR, not even mentioned the event on their own website! Shame on them!
And all hail to the guys from Oude Garde that keep getting bands like the above to our town!!!!!!
